Doctor Strange [spoilers, maybe?]

I'm going to start by saying the only comic I've read with Doctor Strange in it is his brief appearances in Civil War (the first one, not the new one, I've not read the new one yet) and J. Michael Straczynski's run of Thor. Aside from that, I've seen the 2007 animated film and his appearances in Ultimate Spiderman, Hulk and the Agents of SMASH, and Avengers Assemble. I'm starting with that to highlight how little exposure I've had to the Sorcerer Supreme.
That being said, I've wanted to read his storylines, but my area doesn't really have much in the way of comic book stores except for Hastings and Barnes & Noble, neither of which have much of a selection for Marvel. That combined with the new movie going into production next month, I figured I'd start with the new one and go from there. Seeing as how I'd not really read much of his book, I went in with only what I'd read on the internet researching the character.
Since I'd never read anything majorly featuring Stephen, I can't compare the writing of this one with any others by different writers, or the art style. I do like the art style though. Might be worth noting I do not have a variant cover, though I had the option of the cute little chibi one with the Mystic Puffs cereal box and the tentacles in the milk bottle, as the standard cover and that one were the only two Hastings had, I guess. But the standard cover looked more badass.
So yeah, art style is good, writing is good. Looking forward to the storyline for the series. This issue is a promising start, and I have a feeling that a good few issues are going to deal with the major questions posed in this one.
And if I go on much longer here, it's going to turn into a review instead of trying to start a discussion.
So yeah. I'm not good at this because I usually just keyboardsmash on Skype rather than this way of discussing things.
